About Program
As an art student who's interested in exploring a variety of creative mediums, you will learn from Creative Director and Founder, Inessa Nichols and her team lead what it takes to design and execute a full event from start to finish. You will acquire skills in proper care and handling of fresh flowers, what is required to prepare for events, basic techniques of flower arranging styles, and how to decorate and design tabletops. You will be provided with a fully immersive way to learn event production and floral design. We are looking for art, design, and hospitality management students to intern with us for school credits. This will be a 10 week program requiring two studio days each week and five out of ten weekends. If you express a desire and passion to work with flowers in the event industry then we want you!
About You
Detail oriented, quick learner and have passion for floral design. You’re creative. You love to learn new things. Being prompt is very important to you. You put 100% in everything you do. You love to design and work with your hands. You want to learn from the pros in the industry and potentially become a floral designer yourself or work in the hospitality industry. You love flowers, events and creating unique experiences. You’re a team player!
Jobs Duties
Care and handling of fresh flowers during production in preparation for events
Pulling fresh flower recipes for floral designs like centerpieces, bouquets etc.
Pulling and prepping all decor items used for our events
Painting and building ceremony structures
Misc tasks as they come up
Requirements
Must own vehicle with insurance and have a valid driver’s license
Ability to carry up 50 LB
