Today is the perfect day to share this colorful Cinco De Mayo wedding we worked on at the Bel Air Bay Club in 2018. Our couple Katrina + Jesse really wanted their wedding to feel like a P-A-R-T-Y with a tropical twist! They got engaged on the beach so having a view of the ocean was super important.
The Bel Air Bay Club has a really cool Spanish style old California relaxed vibe and we really wanted to play that detail up by adding fun colors, textures, patterns and lots of tropical plants to hint at our couples love for their favorite vacation spot, Hawaii.
We started the wedding day off by designing this striking ombre chuppah using bougainvillea plants, lots of glossy monstera leaves and the most luscious free spirit roses and coral charm peonies. All the color, texture and tropical vibes were carried throughout the wedding to the cocktail hour in the courtyard onto the dance floor to a really fun and full reception. We loved transforming the classic ballroom with tropical plants to create a more green and vibrant look inside the Club for the reception. We added tons of candles everywhere paired with the best lighting to create that engaging nightclub atmosphere.
Thanks to the amazing vendor team for helping to make Katrina + Jesse’s wedding day pure perfection. We loved being a part of the team and working alongside each and everyone of you. Can't wait to get back to days when we can all gather to make magic for our couples!
We hope you'll get inspired to create your own colorful and fun Cinco De Mayo celebrations at home.
